When you're doing your holiday shopping, here are a few things to keep in mind!
1. Choosing the right size can often be a nightmare because sizes vary across brands, especially for women’s clothing. If you can, find out the person’s actual measurements in inches or centimeters. Always keep the receipt, too. This way, they will be able to exchange or return the clothes if they don’t fit. 2. Learn their style. Pay attention to the style and fit of the clothing they usually wear and use that to inform your purchase. For example, if they usually wear very minimal, neutral outfits, don’t assume that they want to go out of their comfort zone with something that’s bright and bold. 3. Keep textures and fabrics in mind. If you're like Katie and love velvet, she wouldn't buy it for Beth because it makes her want to throw up. If the person you're shopping for doesn't like velvet... don't buy velvet. |
